Bakery 21, LLC developed out of my love for spirits and my obsession with sweets. Combine the two and you have the perfect indulgence! The name Bakery 21, refers to the twenty-first amendment, which ended prohibition in 1933. In addition to spirited sweets, I also bake a variety of specialty desserts for the teetotaler at heart.
I developed an appreciation for baking as a child from watching my mom create mouth watering cherry pies and buttery English toffee. I soon became Chief Biscuit Baker in our household! In 2010-2011, I completed a pastry apprenticeship with renowned pastry chef, Marianne Banes, in Tucson, AZ. Today, I am a researcher by day and a baker by night.
Bakery 21 is a Cottage Food Production Operation. All desserts are created in my home kitchen located in Dayton, Ohio. I am conveniently located near downtown in the historic St. Anne's Hill neighborhood.
